"P" version is portable.
Three decades after the production of the first HRO model, National introduced their HR0-500. Only the trademark PW dial remained as a constant. Everything else about the famous receiver line had changed. The HR0-500 was all-solid-state and synthesized. It covered 5 kHz-30 MHz in sixty 500 kHz bands. The VFO's tuning rate was identical on all bands. A tunable six-pole filter provided selectivity bandwidths of 0.5, 2.5, 5.0, and 8.0 kHz. Passband tuning was used on the 0.5 and 2.5 kHz positions. Its rejection tuning featured a 60 dB notch. It operated from either 115/230 VAG or 12 VDC power; $1295.00, 1964. (1)
