General Notes

Note

QST, Feb 1936, inside back cover. Radio News, Apr 1936, p. 628. Lafayette catalog number 69, p. 102. In early 1936, National offered a simplified version of their HRO receiver. The Junior was electrically identical to the senior model except for having no crystal filter or S-meter. Its plug-in coils were general coverage only and did not offer band spread for the amateur bands. It sold for $99.00 complete with tubes and one coil set. The 5897 external power supply was $15.90.
