The 16-tube National NC-183 covered 0.54–31 and 48–56 MHz in five bands. It was a single-conversion set with robust audio from a pair of push-pull 6V6s. The NC-183D was double conversion above 4.4 MHz and single conversion below that. Its five bands covered 0.54-31 and 48-56 MHz. The NC-183D used 17 tubes, and its IF stages had a dozen tuned circuits in the single-conversion mode, 16 when using double conversion. It had a new crystal-filter circuit and a temperature-compensated main-tuning capacitor. The "Nan-D" NC-183 was a 16-tube, single conversion set with the same tuning ranges.
