The NCX-500 was a full-featured transceiver produced after the National Company had become the National Radio Company, Incorporated (NRCI). The five-band transceiver ran 500 watts PEP on SSB, 360 watts on CW, and 125 watts on AM. The NCX-500 covered 80-10 meters, tuning each band in 600 kHz segments. Optional crystals were required for full coverage of 10 meters. Sideband selection was not available; the transceiver de-faulted to the customary sideband. It had RIT and was supplied with a universal mobile mount. The final amplifier was a pair of 6L06 tubes.
