The SW-58 was an SW-5 variant that featured changes in the RF-stage tubes (from ’27s to type ’58s) and the addition of a slide-rule dial. National also made an SW-58C, which covered the 200–400 kHz frequency range used by airlines of that era. References Review. Radio News, Aug 1932, p. 100.
