General Notes

Note

Ham Radio, Aug 1978, p. 84. The Palomar Mini-l VHF-FM transceiver is about the same height as a dollar bill. The transmitter output is one watt, with a total of 18 channels available in the 144-148-MHz band. The channels are obtained by using up-down split, down-up split, or simplex, all with only six crystals. An Auto-Patch option was available. In size, functionality, and physical appearance, the Palomar Mini-I is identical to the Standard C-118. They may, in fact, be the same device. In advertising, both compare their device to the size of a dollar bill. Dimensions of the Palomar Mini-l are 152 mm high by 67 m m wide by 46 mm deep.
