The Radio Corporation of America's 150-watt output phone and CW transmitter had a pair of 808s in the final amplifier. A pair of 808s served as modulators on phone. Plug-in coils were used to cover 160-10 meters. The transmitter's circuits were fully metered. $625.00 (with one set of coils, but minus tubes).
