The RME 4350, a double-conversion receiver, had its roots in the single-conversion RME 4300 design. It used nine tubes and covered the 160–10 meter bands. It had 2195 and 455 kHz IFs, with a crystal filter in the latter.
By adding one tube, a product detector, and a crystal calibrator to the 4350, RME created the 4350A.
