Radio Manufacturing Engineers' first post-war receiver (probably the first post-war receiver) built on the company's designs of the pre-war and war years. The initial model, the RME-45, was introduced in mid-1945. Early the following year, the Peoria, Illinois company released the 45B, adding two-speed tuning, calibrated band spread for the ham bands, and improved noise limiting. The receiver covered 0.55-33 MHz and used 10 tubes, alllocktals except for the rectifier and voltage regulator.
