QST, Dec 1953, pp. 82–83. QST, Feb 1954, inside front cover. Allied Radio catalog 1955 (copyright 1954), p. 191. QST, Jan 1955, p. 136. (DB-23A) QST, Oct 1962, p. 149. CQ, Nov 1962, p. 161. The DB-23 receiver preamp had a minimum gain of 20 dB on the 80–10 meter ham bands. It also assisted in image rejection. The circuit used three 6J6 twin triodes working as neutralized push-pull stages. A front-panel knob selected the desired band and a peaking control fine-tuned the preamp.
