The DB-23 receiver preamp had a minimum gain of 20 dB on the 80–10 meter ham bands. It also assisted in image rejection. The circuit used three 6J6 twin triodes working as neutralized push-pull stages. A front-panel knob selected the desired band and a peaking control fine-tuned the preamp.
