SBE's first product was an innovative transceiver, the SB-33, and a line of accessories soon followed. The SB-34 was announced in 1964. The new 135 watt transceiver was solid-state except for the driver and finals and covered 80-15 meters. The compact, 20 lb. package contained both AC and DC supplies and a Collins mechanical filte. The Codaptor enabled CW by injecting a keyed tone at the SB-34's mic input. Released in 1965. $34.95. See Raytheon's notes: QST, Jan 1967, p. 103.
