(announced) Between June 1974 and April 1975 there were lots of small ads extolling the many features and specifications of the CX-11, but it wasn't actually available for delivery until May 1975. QST, May 1975, p. 183. (available, finally) QST, Apr 1979, p. 122. (CX-11A) $5900.00 !! QST, Jan 1980 p. 131. QST, Apr 1981, p. 179. The CX-11 A used a combination of frequency synthesis plus dual PTOs to cover the 160-10 meter ham bands in 1 MHz wide ranges. Four additional 1 MHz segments were available. The transceiver had a built-in 115/230 VAC power supply and featured full QSK on CW, and a choice of fast attack VOX or PTT on phone. IF selectivity was provided by a pair of 2.4 kHz eight-pole crystal filters. Post detection filter bandwidths were 0.1, 0.4, 1.0, and 1.5 kHz. The broad band, no-tune, solid-state finals were rated at 150 watts output on all bands and all modes. A built-in keyer and RF speech processor were part of the package; $5900.00.
