Sonar’s VFO/exciter had band-switching output of 5 watts on 80 and 40 meters. The tuning dial carried calibration for all bands from 80–10 meters. The C.F.C. had a built-in CW monitor and provisions for crystal control. A built-in 1000 kHz frequency standard could be calibrated against WWV and then used to check the VFO’s dial calibration. It had a regulated power supply.
