The Equipment Crafters, Inc. of River Edge, New Jersey made a line of VHF gear in the 1950s and ’60s. The cascade configuration in the RF amplifier stages of their CC5 converters furnished both high gain and a low-noise figure.Tecraft made CC5s for the 50, 144, and 220 MHz bands. A variety of IF outputs were available: 4 MHz ranges (5 MHz for the 220 band) beginning at 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 26 MHz.
