Sometimes seen as FM-V.
The 2 meter Tempo fmv provides eight- channels, and features 12-watts RF output with spurious signals more than 60-dB down. Frequency deviation is adjustable from ±5 to ±15 kHz. The dual conversion receiver has 0.6 uV sensitivity for 20-dB quieting (0.3 uV usable threshold). Selectivity at full quieting is +6 kHz at –6 dB and ±15 kHz at 170 dB. Receiver audio power output is 1 watt. Power supply requirements are 12–15 VDC at 2 amps.
Other features include a build-in metering test socket, an operation/maintenance manual and an optional test set accessory. The built-in test socket can be used with a sensitive microamp meter to monitor all stages including the discriminator.
The instruction manual covers complete checkout and alignment of the transceiver.
