The Ten-Tec 315 amateur band receiver used all-solid-state circuitry. MOSFETs were used in the RF amplifier and mixer stages. A 9 MHz crystal lattice filter provided SSB selectivity and an optional active audio filter was used for CW. The audio filter had an 800 Hz center frequency and adjustable skirts. The receiver had rear-panel inputs for sidetone and T/R muting. Output jacks for the VFO and carrier oscillator enabled the 315 to transceive with a companion transmitter.
