The Unique Products Company of West Covina, California made an L-network tuner that worked with any wire greater than 1/4 wavelength. Jumpers on the tuner’s rear panel changed the configuration of the rotary inductor and capacitor. In one case, the coil was in series with the antenna and the capacitor was shunted to ground. In the other case, the positions of the two components were reversed. In this way, both high- and low-impedance loads were matched. It covered 80–10 meters.
