The FT-7(B) is an all-solid-state HF mobile transceiver covering 80 through 10 meters. The compact unit is engineered for convenience during mobile operations and operates directly from a 13.5 VDC power source.
Features
– Operating Modes: USB, LSB,, CW, (AM, FT-7B)
– TUNE Control: A single-knob TUNE control allows for peaking of all transceiver circuits, which eliminates the need for inconvenient plate and load controls.
– Adjustable Power (FT-7B): The transmitter's final amplifier input power can be adjusted up to a level of 100 watts.
– Noise Blanker: It includes a built-in, high-performance noise blanker designed to minimize impulse-type noise commonly found in mobile environments.
– Built-in Tuning Aids: The transceiver features a built-in 100 kHz crystal calibrator and receiver offset tuning (clarifier).
– CW Enhancements: For CW operation, the unit provides an audio peak filter as well as automatic semi-break-in with a sidetone monitor.
– Receiver Circuitry: The receiver front end uses MOS FET and Schottky diode circuitry to ensure maximum sensitivity and immunity from overload.
– Digital Display Option: The transceiver is compatible with an optional YC-7B outboard digital frequency display.
