It is thought that Mary Taylor was Alexander Munro Taylor's mother, as a letter written in 1944 by Jean Davidson is addressed to Mr and Mrs Taylor. 'Alex' was one of the two gunners on the Hoos crew. This grief-stricken letter tells Jean Davidson that Mary Taylor has received information that "Alex is Presumed Killed". The letter is undated but probably was sent in early August 1943.
