Context

'The Marker' was the name of the Pathfinder magazine for the Pathfinder Association, which had been running since 1945. It was both a social club and a philanthropic enterprise, the latter aspect fading away as the war receded into the past. The souvenir programme and menu were owned by Wilf Sutton, Lahey crew, 35 Squadron, later a prisoner of war. Amongst the items on this programme are a list of the presidents of the Association, all very notable PFF luminaries. John Cecil MacGown, formerly the Chief Medical Officer of 8 Group (the Pathfinders), held the post for eight years. Donated by Judi Nurcombe.
