Context

The newspaper clipping, "The Herald", 6 January 1945, which gives Henry Naldrett's obituary records that his brother Ernest had also been in a crash but had survived. Research gives the details as follows: Crew: F/O Robert Victor Ostler Sgt J W O'Keefe F/O A J McCulloch F/S Ernest R Naldrett F/Sgt E R Gibson RAAF Sgt W J Hands Sgt L A Hamilton Crash-landed in Allied-held territory on 4 December 1944 at Juvincourt, Northern France (a large airfield, previously used by the Luftwaffe and once in Allied hands used increasingly for the repatriation of Allied POWs).
