The signature looks like Helen but it is probably Ellen which was the name of Ronald Hodge's mother. Ronald Hodge was only 20 years old when he died, so it is unlikely, though not impossible, that he was married. Ronald Hodge was the navigator on the Hoos crew. This sad letter says that she has kept the hope for two years that not all of the crew were killed. Donated by Rita and Brian Stone, July 2021.Collection
