Description

Along with the DeLuxe and Plainsman models, the Speedway Sedan was one of three variations of the 1941 Willys Americar. There were about 22,000 sold in 1941, but production for civilians was dropped in order to support the military during WWII. Furthermore, production was completely abandoned after the war due to the success of the Jeep. The Americar Speedway Sedan was usually equipped with a four-cylinder engine that produces around 63 hp. It has a three-speed manual transmission and a wheelbase of 104". Additionally, it was considered a Best Buy by Consumers Union Reports and originally sold for around $630. It was a popular choice for hot rods.
