Made in 1949, this stuffed bear is based off of a real-life polar bear cub, named Brumas, born in 1949. Born in the London Zoo, Brumas was the first polar to be successfully raised in Britian. When Brumas was born, it was commonly thought that she was a boy, due to an error in the media, but it was later revealed that she was a girl. Brumas only lived for nine years; she passed away in 1958.Acquisition
