1935 Packard 1202 Standard Eight Convertible Sedan

Description

Packard was an American automobile manufacturer based in Detroit, Michigan, lasting from 1899 to 1958. They were known for their luxurious cars. Their slogan, "Ask the man who owns one," implied this was the best way to be reassured of their quality. This 1202 Standard Eight Convertible Sedan could seat up to five passengers and was equipped with a L-head inline eight-cylinder engine, which produces 130 hp. Additional features were four-wheel mechanical drum brakes, a 139" wheelbase, shatterproof glass, and a three-speed synchromesh manual transmission. As its name implies, the roof could fold down as well. Actor Andy Griffith once owned one.
