Description

The 1966 Ford Thunderbird is a fourth-generation model known for its squared-off appearance. Equipped with a 390 cubic inch V8 engine that produced 300 hp, it could go from 0-60 mph in nearly 11 seconds. Other features were automatic transmission, four-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust outlets, driver’s side rearview mirror, fender-mounted antenna, and FM/AM radio. Hardtop and convertible were the two standard body styles. There was also the Landau Special model, which had a Levant grain vinyl roof and landau bars. This was the most popular body style in 1966.
