Name/Title

1948 Willys Jeep CJ-2A

Description

Originally designed for agricultural use, the Willys Jeep CJ-2A quickly became popular with civilians. Standard features include a four-cylinder engine, side mounted tire, floor shift transmission, four-wheel drum brakes, and an 80" wheelbase. There were many optional features that include but are not limited to a rear hydraulic lift, snow plow, welder, generator, mower disc, dual vacuum windshield wipers, and a hot-climate radiator. The CJ-2A was replaced by the CJ-3A in 1949. There were only small differences between the 1946 and 1948 models. Some notable ones were color combinations, back seat length, and some 1948 models had the top bow storage brackets on the passenger side instead of the driver's side.
