Description

These adjustable roller skates (No. 63), by the Globe Union company, clipped on to regular shoes. The accompanying key would be used to adjust the length of the skate and the width of the clip near the toe. The skates have red leather ankle straps and metal wheels. The Globe Union company primarily produced batteries but, as the production of batteries lessened in the summer months. the company filled the gap by producing these clip on skates particularly between the 1940's and 50's.
