Photograph showing the wood-framed Aliso Canyon School in the northeastern area that later became Rancho Santa Fe. Built in 1905 by Ferdinand Coehn, Theodore Fidero, and neighboring residents, the schoolhouse features a projecting entrance, wooden steps, windows, and a small bell tower. This view also shows exposed framing along the side of the building. A Bunnell Photo Shop marking dated July 27, 1929 on the back provides evidence that the photograph was printed or processed by that date, although the exact date the image was taken is not stated.Photograph Details
