Black-and-white photographic print depicting the dining room interior at La Morada Hotel, later renamed The Inn, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Multiple dining tables are arranged throughout the room and set with tablecloths, plates, glassware, flatware, and floral arrangements, surrounded by wooden chairs. Heavy exposed ceiling beams span the room, with lantern-style light fixtures suspended between them. Tall multi-pane windows with curtains line the right wall, and additional windows illuminate the rear portion of the dining room. Broad arched openings at the far end lead up a short set of tiled steps into an adjoining lounge, where upholstered seating and a fireplace are visible. Decorative plants and wall-mounted light fixtures are also present. The lower left corner bears the notation “S.F.R. 21,” and the lower right corner bears the photographer’s mark “Herbert R. Fitch, San Diego.”Photograph Details
