Description

Black-and-white photographic print depicting a large lounge interior at La Morada Hotel, later renamed The Inn, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The room contains multiple upholstered armchairs and sofas arranged around tables, with lamps and decorative plants placed among the furnishings. A large plaster fireplace is centered on the far wall, flanked by wall-mounted light fixtures and tall floor lamps. Heavy exposed roof beams and trusses span the ceiling, while tall multi-pane windows and glazed doors admit natural light along the side walls. Radiators are positioned beneath several windows, and a tiled floor surrounds a large central area rug. Broad arched openings connect the lounge to adjoining interior spaces. The number “18659” appears in the lower left corner of the photograph.
