Description

Black-and-white photographic print depicting a large lounge interior at La Morada Hotel, later renamed The Inn, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The room contains upholstered sofas and armchairs arranged in several seating groups, along with wooden chairs, tables, lamps, and decorative plants. A large plaster fireplace is centered on the far wall and flanked by wall-mounted light fixtures. Heavy exposed roof beams and trusses span the ceiling, while tall multi-pane windows and an arched set of glazed doors admit natural light into the room. Radiators are positioned along the walls, and a large area rug covers part of the tiled floor. Broad arched openings connect the lounge with adjoining interior spaces.
