2026.001.037Description
Black-and-white photographic print depicting a lounge interior at La Morada Hotel, later renamed The Inn, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Upholstered armchairs are arranged across a large area rug bordered by tiled flooring, with floor lamps and decorative plants placed throughout the room. Tall multi-pane windows with curtains line the walls, and wall-mounted light fixtures are visible between them. Heavy exposed roof beams and trusses span the high ceiling. Broad arched openings at left connect the lounge with an adjoining dining room containing tables and chairs, while an upper-level window with a wrought-iron railing overlooks the interior. The lower left corner bears the notation “S.F.R.-13,” and the lower right corner bears the photographer’s mark “Herbert R. Fitch, San Diego.”Photograph Details
