Description

Collection of documents related to a survey of Lilian Rice structures and other significant historic buildings in Rancho Santa Fe. The materials include a signed permission form dated May 2, 1990 authorizing Dr. Ray Brandes of the University of San Diego to research property records for a survey of historic structures (page 1), a signed authorization form supporting a National Register of Historic Places application for the Lilian Rice Historic District (page 2), a San Diego County residential building record form describing the property and construction details (page 3), and typed research notes summarizing the history of the residence originally owned by C. Everette and Adele Ferne Smith at 1604 Via del Alba in Rancho Santa Fe (pages 4–5). The notes state that the Lilian Rice designed residence later became the Wishing Well Hotel and was demolished about 1971.
