Name/Title
Fragmented Plaque of a Draped Leg and FootEntry/Object ID
RC.AC.06.31Description
This molded terracotta relief fragment preserves part of a low-relief architectural or votive plaque depicting the lower draped leg and bare foot of a figure in profile. Rhythmic, vertical drapery folds fall from above, terminating near the lower hem to reveal the curved contour of the ankle and foot stepping forward or resting along a low ground plane.
Composed of a pale buff-to-tan earthenware clay matrix, the fragment features an irregular, vertically elongated rectangular shape bounded by jagged fracture lines along the top and right perimeters. The flat, unmodeled reverse is characteristic of single-front press-mold terracotta production, typically intended for wall mounting, architectural revetment, or sanctuary dedication.Collection
