Description

One (1) black and white sepia toned photograph of a woman from the chest and up. She is wearing a black top with flower embossed embroidery on the front down the center/sides vertically. She is wearing a light colored necklace. Her hair is done up with curls in the front. The photo is attached to a beige mat board with gold print on the bottom: "Hartley, 309 W. Madison St., Chicago". The back of the mat board has a drawn picture of the Hartley Store front. On the bottom is printed: "Hartley, 309 W. Madison St., Chicago, Cloudy days good as sunshine, Studio open everyday, The original of this Photograph is preserved. Duplicates may be had at any time." The photo was found in an album near the label: "Rosa Horcher" (?). Unclear if this is the person and the writing was distorted as well. It is written near Andrew Horcher - Rose Weidner - Horcher was Andrew's wife.
