Description

One (1) cabinet photograph with cover of 8 Dittrich family members, circa early 20th century. The photo is sepia toned black and white, and enclosed in a brown cover frame with two flaps over the photo. There are four people seated in front (two women, two men) and four people standing behind (4 men). 5 men are dressed in black suits, one man in religious black robes, one women in a black dress, and a younger woman in a white lace dress. Behind them is a long dark curtain and to the left is a fireplace with a photo of a woman on the mantel. On the bottom of the frame is imprinted in black ink: "Carlson Studio Elgin and St. Charles ILL" with an insignia of an eagle and "C" with ribbons. On a smaller flap holding the cover on is an embossed "D". Individuals from top left: Herbert, Alfred, Werner, Raymond, Edith, Maria (Weidner born 1868), Alexis/Alex, George (sons of Christopher Dittrich).
