One (1) letter-sized certificate for Aptakisic School for recognition of criteria and standards in teaching, 1937-1938. Certificate has mainly printed text, with some typed portions in center. Certificate reads as follows: "Superior Elementary School 1937-1938, Certificate of Recognition, The certifies that Aptakisic School, District No. 102, meets in a satisfactory manner the requirements for the Superior Elementary School according to the standards and criteria set forth by the Superintendent of Public Instruction of the State of Illinois for the year ending February 28, 1938. A new Certificate of Recognition will be issued next year if these standards and criteria are maintained and suggested improvements made; State of Illinois Superintendent of Public Instruction". It is signed by John A Wieland (Superintendent of Public Instruction) and W. C. Petty (County Superintendent of Schools). Some text is black, with some titles in orange.
