Scope and Content

One (1) Firnbach and Raupp store receipt from March 21, 1919. Receipt is rectangular with black printed text and handwritten notes in pencil. The receipt is for N. Galster who bought 5 pounds sugar for $0.53, 1 coconut for $0.10, peanuts for $0.10, 1 yeast foam for $0.05, 5 pack seeds for $0.40, 2 pounds butter for $0.80. Bill total was $1.98 and is marked as paid. There is a red stamp of 6 close to the bottom. The black text is as follows, from top to bottom: "Bought of Firnbach and Raupp: Dealers in GENERAL MERCHANDISE; Buffalo Grove , Ill.; Sold to; Address; If there are any Errors in this Bill Return it at once; MC CARNEY ALLIANCE O."
