Scope and Content

One (1) beige paper postcard with multicolored drawing on the front. On the front is a drawing of a women wearing a blue dress, with white bonnet and white apron, carrying a basket of corn and a turkey on her right. Behind her are white houses and red roofs and she is standing in a green field in front of them. There is an embossed gold wishbone attached to the front center. On the bottom is printed: "Best wishes for a joyful Thanksgiving", "copyright by H. Knopf 1911". On the back is printed in blue ink: "This space for writing messages, This side for address only., Post Card, Place Stamp Here Domestic One cent Foreign Two cents". Handwritten in pencil on left is: "Hello Anna! I haven't heard from you for a long time and I'm wondering if you're on the dead list. I am taking things easy now, am in Pontiac. Send mail home, because I have not settled down yet." Handwritten on right: "Miss Anna Hoerner, 619 W. Division St. , Chicago, Ill"
