Scope and Content

One (1) beige, black, and white paper postcard advertisement for the play "Ready Money". The front has a black and white photo of 5 men dressed in black suits with white undershirts. Two men are on the right, the one on the inside holding a wad of cash. Three men are opposite them on the left side. The middle man is pointing at the two men and the other two men on either side are looking down at the money where he is pointing. They are in a living room, with chairs and table, decorative curtains behind, and lamps on the walls. Along the edges of the picture is printed reviews: "Biggest Surprise of the theatrical season. Big Success - O/L/ Hall, Journal; Immense - Percy Hammond, Tribune; A Hummer - James O'Donnell Bennett, Record-Herald". and "scene from "READY MONEY", "Look Boys! Steve Has Struck It" - captioning the photo. On the back is another photo on the left with two men, one pointing at the other who is holding money. Printed around the photo: "Ready Money, Cort Theatre Chicago, Now Playing, Matinees Wed. and Sat.; If you've got Money, you don't have to spend it, all you have to do is to show it. It takes money to get money and you can't get it without it. Who is going to have faith in what you've got to sell, if what you've got to sell isn't getting you anything? But if they see that it's getting you something, they will fight to get in on it. People can see a thousand dollar bill further than anything of its size in the world, and seeing is believing and believing is all there is to it." On top: "Mailing Card, Address, Place Stamp Here"
