Seven (7) mourning prayer card for Rev. Frank G. Mattes, born 06/18/1884, died 07/21/1929. For 5 of the cards, they are identical: On one side of the card is a scripture, prayer and obituary in English, and a head portrait of the Pastor. On the other side is a black and white picture of the A chalice on a platform with Latin text on it, partly obstructed by a scarf with crosses on the ends. Behind is a cross with "IHS" in the center. Underneath the picture is more Latin text: "Requiesrat in Pare".
For the other 2 cards, they are identical on the obituary side, but the front has a slightly different design with a a scarf draped around the chalice and different shading, and a large cross behind it.
