Scope and Content

One (1) paper St. Mary's diploma for Florence Weidner, dated June 29th, 1915. It is signed by Father Otto and Sr. M. Concordia, Teacher. The paper is brown (from age) with a fancy DIPLOMA header and a drawing of St. Mary and Child in a circle in the center. There is a decorative diamond and square border around the text. There is an embossed stamp in the bottom left corner with a cross, heart and anchor and words around it. The diploma is printed: "Diploma, St. Mary's Parochial School, Buffalo Grove, Illinois; This certifies that (handwritten) Florence Weidner(), has honorably completed the Course of Study as prescribed by St. Mary's Parochial School and having passed a satisfactory examination is awarded This Testimonial as a Certificate of Graduation. In Witness whereof our signatures are hereunto affixed at Buffalo Grove, Illinois, this (handwritten) twenty-ninth() day of (handwritten) June A.D.1915." On the bottom is printed "Printed by the Mission Press, Techny, ILL.".
