Scope and Content

One (1) handwritten letter from the Ford Bros. to Geo. Spurlin (Spoerlein). Translation: "Mr. Geo Spurlin. Buffalo Grove, ILLS. March 16th, 1899. Dear Sir, ...you kindly inform us on the enclosed card whether the art ...for your church will be ...separate..tract...you expect to buy...We would like the privilege of submitting designs and prices of our work on ... and will greatly appreciate any information given. Thanking you in advance for your trouble and awaiting an early reply, We are yours very truly, Ford Bros.". The ford brother logo with a medieval helmet and wings is printed on the top center in blue. In the top left corner is printed: Manufacturers of Leaded Art Glass...French Mirrors." In the right corner is printed: "Dealers in Plate and...Window Glass". Address is printed near top left: 323 South Washington Street. Opposite Board of Trade."
