Description

One (1) sepia-toned photograph of a group of young children, clergy, and nuns gathered outside a brick building labeled "St. Mary's School" in Buffalo Grove, as noted at the bottom of the image with a reference to Kinne Photo, Waukegan, Illinois. The children are arranged in multiple rows, with the front row sitting cross-legged on the ground and subsequent rows seated or standing. The girls are dressed in varying dresses, and the boys have on collared shirts or suits, with dark pants and shoes. Two nuns are positioned at each end of the group, wearing their habits, while the priest is in the center back of the image in full Priest attire of black robe, collar, and hat. Behind them is St. Marys School brick building (the 3rd iteration of the school), with two stories, square structure with four windows on the left and the two-door entrance on the right with a large window above. Above the doors is embossed "St Marys School". Behind the building there are trees and a barn visible on the right. The photo is attached to a black mat board.
