The receipt is for Joe Tudup(?), who bought one gallon (gal) of syrup for $1.10, one molasses for $0.25, four soap for $0.36, one cornflakes for $0.18, one cocoanut for $0.15, three pounds (#) of sugar for $0.84, and one gold dust for $0.35. The bill total is $3.23. In addition, he brought in eleven dozen (dz) eggs at $0.45 each to obtain a credit of $4.95. The total credit received when subtracted by his bill total is $1.72.
