Scope and Content

One (1) scrapbook of pages from newspapers (Chicago Tribune, etc.) glued onto wallpaper sample pages in a 1935 wall paper book. Pages have article clips, photographs, and comics from newspapers of national and local historical events. The scrapbook was put together by Clemens Pancratz Weidner, when he was living in Chicago with his wife and children. The cover is a brown hardcover with blue tape and binding on the corners and edge. On the cover is printed in black "Eldorado Modern Designs", with "Wall Paper" printed in black and orange in the center right, with a decorative skyscrape design behind it in silver and orange, and "Lademan & Shade 2215 Lawrence Avenue Chicago, ILL." in black in the bottom right corner. On left corner is printed "1935" in silver. The book does not have a closed spine, but is bound with large screws through the pages with four wood planks at even intervals in the pages."
