One (1) letter-sized certificate for Aptakisic School for recognition of criteria and standards in teaching, 1944. Certificate has mainly printed text, with some typed portions in center. Certificate reads as follows: "State of Illinois; Superintendent of Public Instruction, Elementary School; Certificate of Recognition; This certifies that the Aptakisic School District Number 102 Lake County is an officially recognized Elementary School in the meaning and interpretation of the law. The certificate of recognition is issued annually to those schools which maintain the criteria and standards prescribed by the superintendent of the public instruction of the state of Illinois for recognized elementary schools. Issued at Springfield Illinois, April 24, 1944." Certificate is signed by County Superintendent of schools W. C. Petty, and Superintendent of public instruction Vernon L Nickell. The text at the top is in a different fonts than the paragraph text in a cursive. There is an embossed circle stamp near the bottom left corner.Archive Details
