Description

One (1) framed photograph of a couple in the early 1900s, black and white photograph painted to be colored. Frame is oval shaped, with widest part horizontal. Glass in front is rounded and concave. The photograph has a man and woman from the waist up, the woman on the left is wearing a white pleated shirt that buttons at the nape of the neck with a lace neckline. Her hair is pulled up and is poufy in the front. The man is on the right and has a black suit jacket with black bow tie, and white collared shirt underneath. He has a mustache and short brown hair, combed over to his right. The background of the portrait is a gradient red. The photo is encased in a gold painted wooden frame. The front has decorative embossed features on the sides and top and bottom. On the back, the wood is bare (not painted) and has two looped nails on the sides with a brown cord attached. There is a cardboard backing in the center, with brown tape along the edges, holding it to the frame. There is a faint red illegible stamp on the bottom right corner, can read "sale" and "chicago".
