Scope and Content

One (1) Firnbach and Raupp store receipt from January 25, 1920. Receipt is rectangular with black printed text on a white piece of paper with black dividing lines denoting where to write and handwritten notes in pencil. The receipt is for Alois Raupp and details their sale of eggs to the store as well as two purchases of groceries. In the creditor section of the receipt, Raupp sold to the store five and a half dozen eggs for $0.62 a dozen bringing the total sale up to $3.15. In the debtor section of the receipt, Raupp purchased from the store one stove polish for $0.10, one pound of oleo for $0.42, one pound of crackers for $0.20, one box of cornflakes for $0.18, two pounds of oatmeal for $0.16, one half purchase of pepper (possible puffer short for wheat puffers) for $0.25, one purchase of all spice for $0.30, one ball cord for $0.15, two cups of drops for $0.10, two cups of yeast for $0.05, one yeast foam for $0.05, and a half Coupst samcup (?) for $0.35. The total bill comes out to $3.31, the sale of eggs is subtracted leaving Raupp to owe the store $0.16. This is marked as paid in the creditor section. In the debtor section Weidner purchased one corn for $0.18 and one sweet oil for $0.28, totaling (as previously mentioned ) $0.28. The black text is as follows, from top to bottom: "Buffalo Grove, ILL; M; Bought of Firnbach & Raupp DEALERS IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE; Creditor; Debtor"
